News & Events

OutWest Events:

In 2010 OutWest will continue to hold its Monthly Socials on the First Friday of every month at various venues around the region. These meetings will give gay, lesbian and bisexual people an opportunity to meet and socialise together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

In addition OutWest will be holding its usual quarterly discos. Also, this year, OutWest are planning two charity events - a sponsored walk and a table quiz. These two events are deliberately intended to be none alcohol related events.

Next OutWest Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting of OutWest will be held in Sligo Town on Friday, 6 August 2010 in cooperation with North West Pride..

OutWest are pleased to announce that their next disco will be held in Athlone Town on Saturday 11 September 2010.

Here is a quick list of some of the events that OutWest have planned for 2010.
Note Further details (venues, exact dates, etc) may be added to the following list once they become available.

Saturday, 13 March 2010: OutWest Castlebar Disco.
 Saturday, 22 May 2010: OutWest Disco in Castlebar.
Saturday, 3 July 2010: Third Annual Joint Disco (Gay Clare, OutWest, and Gay Westmeath) hosted this year by Gay Clare.
Friday 16 July 2010: Annual Boat Cruise - Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim. Ticket only. Details here.
A Sunday afternoon in September: Sponsored Walk, funds raised go to Mr Gay Ireland nominated charity. (Details to follow)
Saturday, 11September 2010: OutWest Disco in the Athlone Springs Hotel. Details here.
A Friday evening in October: Table Quiz, (venue and exact date to be confirmed). Funds raised go to Mr Gay Ireland nominated charity.
Saturday, 20th November 2010: OutWest Disco in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway City.
December: OutWest xmas dinner - Venue and date to be confirmed.
